We have spent the last few months putting some nice design touches into our new house – sofas, lights and coffee tables. Picking lights and lamps was something we thought would be very easy, but had many more style and cost options than we thought. Here’ s what we went with.
We picked all three ceiling lights below in the one place – National Lighting. It’s a huge lighting warehouse in a retail park in Dublin 12 and is well worth a visit if you are in the market for quality lights. They’re not the cheapest, but we’re delighted with the quality.
Living Room Ceiling Light #1
This is a Carlton Vintage pendant in copper and is in our front living room which is a light green and which we tend to use for entertaining guests.
Living Room Ceiling Light #2
This is a Kupferfarben ‘Tarbes’ black and copper pendant and is in our darker green/blue living room which we use in the evenings to relax. We picked the light above first, and then this was like three mini-versions of the same thing.
Entrance Hall Ceiling Light
This is a SGCOLMAN-BL black pendant with gold leaf inner. It gives a very warm glow which is just what we wanted when you come home from work in the evening.
Living Room Lamp
This is the only one we didn’t get in National Lighting – we picked this up in EZ Living in Sandyford, and actually bought it before the others. We had painted our walls a light green (see before and after photos here) and we took a chance on the copper colour – and absolutely loved it! We paired it with a trendy filament bulb, which is totally inefficient, but gorgeous!
We’d love to hear your thoughts – get in touch!
