The last owner used this small bedroom as a place to paint, so there were rails and scribbles on the walls and a pretty old built-in wardrobe. Rather than turn it into a bedroom straight away, we’re going to use it as a study. which means stripping it back to basics and painting it.

We had all of the walls freshly plastered, which means we needed to paint it all FOUR TIMES before it was finished, although it was pretty easy to paint given the size. This post is full of before and after paint photos showing the colours that we’ve used – not quite the finished article, but it shows how much difference a lick of paint makes!
